Membership Eligibility
WHO CAN JOIN?
You are eligible for membership with FRB Federal Credit Union if you are a current employee or retiree of the Federal Reserve System, an employee of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (the CFPB), a contractor working in the Federal Reserve, or a family* or household member of a current credit union member.
* Family members include immediate family or households, including spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, as well as adoptive children, stepchildren, domestic partners, and permanent members of the household.
Federal student loans permit borrowers in financial trouble to use certain options, such as income-based repayment, which may help some borrowers. Depending on the type of loan that you have, the government may discharge your loan if you die or become permanently disabled.
